A Matter of Life and Death

這張《A Matter of Life and Death》已經(jīng)是英國傳奇重金屬樂隊Iron Maiden的第14張錄音室專輯了。雖然Iron Maiden樂隊已經(jīng)名滿全球，但這次卻是成軍近30年的Iron Maiden第一次有專輯打入Billboard 200專輯榜的前十名當(dāng)中。在美國發(fā)行首周，《A Matter of Life and Death》的單周銷量為5萬6千張，名列本周Billboard 200專輯榜的第九位。在此之前，Iron Maiden在Billboard 200專輯榜中打榜成績最好的專輯是1986年的《Somewhere in Time》，名列第11位。

闊別兩年之后，高產(chǎn)的Iron Maiden帶來了這張《A Matter of Life and Death》。和《Dance Of Death》一樣，這張《A Matter of Life and Death》依然是一張曲風(fēng)向他們80年代音樂風(fēng)格回歸的專輯。復(fù)雜的編曲，史詩般的旋律，三把吉他交相輝映出的精彩Riff，飛炫的Solo，Steve Harris低沉的馬蹄點式的Bass音......在聽過這張專輯之后，我們會發(fā)現(xiàn)以上這些使Iron Maiden在近30的音樂生涯中立于不敗之地的“要素”依然清晰可見。《A Matter of Life and Death》仍由Iron Maiden的貝斯手Steve Harris和樂隊的老搭檔凱文·謝麗（Kevin Shirley）聯(lián)合制作，而本張專輯的一大顯著特點就是曲目普遍偏長，共有6首歌曲超過7分鐘，《For The Greater Good Of God》和《The Legacy》更是都超過了9分鐘。而其中最有代表性的歌曲要數(shù)《Brighter Than A Thousand Suns》，《The Longest Day》和《For The Greater Good Of God》。而在這三首歌中，最短的也將近8分鐘?？梢钥闯觯琁ron Maiden依然是最擅長譜寫金屬史詩的一代宗師。

客觀來說，《A Matter of Life and Death》是一張還算不錯的金屬專輯。在這個嘻哈音樂漫天飛舞，獨立音樂遍地開花的年代，老金屬在很多人眼中早已經(jīng)成了昨日黃花，但I(xiàn)ron Maiden非常難得的堅守住了他們的這塊金屬陣地。
